Pedestrian seriously injured in Wrexham hit and run

The collision was outside the Co-op shop on Poplar Road, Wrexham.

A pedestrian has been seriously hurt in a hit and run collision with a car in Wrexham.

The incident happened at 17.15 GMT on Wednesday outside the Co-op shop on the town's Poplar Road.

Police say the man received "very serious injuries" and was taken to hospital.

Officers are investigating and trying to trace a silver saloon car seen in the area. They are appealing for the driver to come forward.
