RNLI volunteers helped to arrange the proposal

An RNLI lifeboat volunteer asked his girlfriend and fellow crew member to marry him as she was winched into a rescue helicopter.

When Josh Stewart got a date for his latest helicopter exercise in Swansea Bay, he put his proposal plan in place.

When Morwenna Chapman was winched aboard, Mr Stewart was standing in the doorway, holding the engagement ring.

Ms Chapman said: "It was a total surprise... fantastic."

He said: "I'd been thinking about asking her to marry me for a while and when I got the date for our helicopter exercise, I had to give it a go."
