An internet troll has been jailed for 12 weeks for offensive comments posted on Twitter to Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood.
David Begley, 47, from Gorseinon, Swansea, made references to rape in messages to Ms Wood as she appeared on a TV debate about the referendum.
Begley, a music promoter and DJ, admitted sending a communication conveying an offensive message.
He was sentenced at Swansea Magistrates' Court.
Ms Wood represented the Remain campaign in debates during the build-up to the referendum vote.
Stephen Harrett, defending, said: "He sent the message on the spur of the moment."
