Even the cows of Les Jaonnets farm, Guernsey, got a good look at the handcrafted baton.

The baton contains a hand-written message from the Queen. It proved very popular at Castel Primary School, Guernsey.

Team Guernsey cyclist Marina Bleasdale was also given the chance to pose with the Queen's Baton.

St Martin's Primary School held an assembly as part of their celebrations to mark the Queen's Baton Relay in Guernsey.

The baton travelled to the Isle of Man on Friday, with pupils from Market Square Preparatory School among the first to get close to the baton.

President of Tynwald Clare Christian welcomed the baton at the Old House of Keys in Castletown, Isle of Man, with some of the island's athletes.

Commonwealth Games' mascot Clyde is accompanying the baton round the Isle of Man. The relay arrives in Northern Ireland on Tuesday.
