BTS urge fans to not show up at army camps when their military service starts

Four BTS band members have asked their fans not to turn up at army bases when they begin their mandatory military service.

The K-pop stars are concerned that fans could become a "nuisance" to other soldiers and their families, after previous send offs attracted crowds.

The band's record label announced that RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook are expected to join the army next week. Three of the older members of the band are already enrolled, with the oldest Jin joining last year.

South Korea is still technically at war with North Korea, with all able bodied men between expected to fulfil the country's mandatory conscription requirements.
