COP28: Cheers and applause as deal passed

A new deal has been agreed at the UN climate summit in Dubai after days of negotiations, calling on all countries to move away from the use of fossil fuels.

The COP28 room erupted into applause as the deal was announced by COP28 president Sultan al-Jaber, with delegates taking to their feet and cheering.
