Three Chinese astronauts have returned to Earth after a 15-day mission to the Tiangong-1 space laboratory.

The crew, which included China's second female astronaut Wang Yaping, landed with a bump in Inner Mongolia around 08:00 local time and exited the capsule some 90 minutes later.

The team, led by Nie Haisheng (C), practised manual and automatic docking with the laboratory.

Their mission has been closely watched - President Xi Jinping was on hand to observe the launch on 11 June.

A highlight of the mission was a space lesson given from the laboratory, during which Ms Wang created a water bubble in a zero-gravity environment.
