Nearly 5,500 people were killed in Thailand, and many of the victims were tourists from a number of European countries.

In Sri Lanka, the Ocean Queen Express - or the "tsunami train" - has become a symbol of the tragedy. The train, which was hit by the waves 10 years ago with heavy loss of life, will make a special journey on Friday.
