A 40-year-old man has appeared in court in New Zealand in connection with CCTV footage showing England rugby captain Mike Tindall with a woman in a bar.

Jonathan Dixon appeared at Queenstown District Court accused of "accessing a computer system for dishonest purpose".

He did not enter a plea and is due to appear in court again on 3 October.

The video appears to show the woman kissing Tindall - married to Zara Phillips, the Queen's granddaughter - on the head.

The players were at Queenstown's Altitude Bar on Sunday night, following their previous day's World Cup win against Argentina.

Mr Dixon, who is said to be a bouncer, allegedly uploaded the security camera footage on to the internet.

New Zealand police said he was released on bail after voluntarily attending Queenstown police station.

The black and white images appear to show Tindall in conversation with a woman, before she plants a kiss on the top of his head.

Tindall married Zara Phillips at Edinburgh's Canongate Kirk in July, in a private ceremony attended by all the senior members of the Royal family.
