Gale-force weather to hit Channel Islands

  • Published

Gusts of up to 70mph and heavy rain will cause disruption across the Channel Islands on Monday, forecasters say.

The gale-force winds were moving in from the Atlantic as a severe storm headed towards Britain, the Jersey Met Department said.

Passengers travelling on Condor ferries between the Channel Islands and the UK have already been warned of disruption.

Condor has cancelled Monday's fast ferry sailings because of the forecast.

Condor said passengers should check its website for further updates., external
