Pope speaks out against terrorism in Christmas message

Pope Francis has prayed that Christians persecuted for their faith be given strength, in his Christmas Day message.

He also condemned what he called "brutal acts of terrorism" in France, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia and Mali.

Thousands of pilgrims turned out to see his address, known as "Urbi et Orbi" - to the city and the world.
