Fresh search in Louth for couple missing since 2015

Willie Maughan and Anastasija Varslavane vanished two years ago

Irish police have conducted a search in County Louth believed to be linked to the disappearance of a couple two years ago.

Willie Maughan and Anastasija Varslavane were last seen in Gormanston, County Meath, on 14 April 2015.

At the time of their disappearance, one line of inquiry was that they had been murdered by a criminal gang.

Following the search, police said the investigation was ongoing.
