Keane Mulready-Woods was reported missing by his family on Sunday night
Gardaí (Irish police) have said that human remains found in a car in Dublin on Wednesday morning are those of 17-year-old Keane Mulready-Woods.
Keane was reported missing by his family on Sunday night.
Gardaí believe the murder is related to the ongoing feud between two Drogheda criminal gangs.
'Crime does not pay'
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and Irish Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan visited Drogheda on Friday.
Mr Varadkar said he wanted to tell people across the country and in Drogheda that crime does not pay.

"We will get these people behind bars and make this town safe again," he said.
"I really want to encourage anyone who has evidence or information to please come forward, because to get people into the Special Criminal Court, to get them convicted, we need evidence."
Gardaí are also investigating reports of images and videos circulating on social messaging apps.
'Brutal and heinous'
They said footage being shared is not of the killing of the 17-year-old boy, but is distressing to his family.
Speaking in Drogheda, the justice minister, Mr Flanagan said a line in the sand had been crossed by what he called "this brutal and heinous murder".
He said those responsible would be brought to justice.

The discovery of his limbs on Monday night sparked an intensive investigation into organised crime, feuding gangs and murder.
Investigators said it should be remembered the victim was a child "trying to find his way in life".
A house in Rathmullen Park Drogheda was also searched
Gardaí are searching for the clothes Keane was wearing and iposted photographs of a similar outfit on their Facebook page. , external
As part of the investigation, gardaí sealed off a house as a crime scene in Rathmullen Park in Drogheda and blocked off the laneway at the back.

Specialists are reported to have discovered traces of blood and evidence of an attempt at a clean-up.
They are investigating the possibility that the teenager may have been taken and attacked.
Three other locations linked to the main figures in both feuding gangs have also been searched.
