Ukraine is just trying to survive, says US

"Ukraine is just trying to survive," US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says as he calls for global action amid escalating fears of a Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Mr Blinken is convening with European allies in Berlin to shore up support against a potential Russian military incursion.

America's top diplomat said the US prefers diplomacy to resolve the crisis.
