Finglas: Man shot dead in north Dublin suburb

A murder investigation has been launched after a man was shot dead in north Dublin.
It happened in the Deanstown Avenue area of Finglas on Sunday morning.
Gardaí (Irish police) said emergency services attended the scene at about 04:30 local time, where they found a man, aged in his 20s, with a gunshot wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination.
RTÉ has reported that the man was known to gardaí.
