Lava flows over roads and bursts water pipe after Iceland eruption

More than 20,000 people have reportedly had their hot water supply disrupted after lava burst key water pipes in Iceland.

Iceland's Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management said it was trying to work out how to guarantee the supply.

It is the third volcanic eruption to hit the Reykjanes peninsula since September.

Dramatic aerial footage shows the lava spreading over roads among the snowy landscape.
