Mock oil spill staged at Bordeaux Harbour

A mock oil spill was staged at Bordeaux Harbour on Tuesday.

The training exercise saw staff from the States Works, Guernsey Harbour and Civil Protection come together to tackle the fake spill.

Catherine Veron, emergency planning officer, said there was already a planned response in place.

She said: "Training is an important part of preparedness and the refresher training will provide an opportunity for staff to update their skills."
