Price of flights from UK to Guernsey to increase
- Published
Flights to Guernsey and Alderney from the UK will be more expensive as UK air passenger duty is rising by 10%.
The increase, which comes into effect on 1 November, equates to £1 on flights to the islands, meaning the duty on those flights will cost £11 per person.
Air passenger duty is a progressive tax levied by the UK government.
The system, which means the further you fly or the more expensive your seat the more you pay, was introduced in 2008.
