Guernsey Airport ban on ink and toner in baggage

  • Published

Guernsey Airport authorities have banned the carriage of ink and toner cartridges in cabin baggage.

The restriction followed the discovery of explosive devices aboard aircraft leaving the Yemen last week.

Simon MacPhail, deputy director, said the ban, which came into force on Tuesday, was ordered by the UK government on Monday.

He said: "It's international issue and considering Guernsey in isolation from everywhere is just not possible."
