Guernsey companies targeted by phones scam
- Published
Guernsey companies have been warned to review their telephone systems after hackers targeted two island companies last weekend.
A weakness in their voice mail systems allowed access and phone calls were then placed to premium rate lines running up huge bills.
Guernsey Police and telecommunications providers advised ensuring passwords and codes were strengthened.
Police said anyone with concerns should contact their service provider.
