Tools worth an estimated £2,500 have been stolen from the redevelopment site of Guernsey's Les Bourgs Hospice.
The tools taken included screwdrivers, cordless drills and angle drivers.
Andy Goodall, Guernsey's Crime Reduction Advisor, asked islanders to look out for anyone suspicious who was selling second hand tools.
He said: "A lot of them are actually marked and can be easily identified. If anyone is offered any electric tools or even hand tools, please get in touch."
