Guernsey sea defences repairs close coast road
- Published
A section of road on Guernsey's west coast is being shut for 11 weeks to allow for repairs to sea defences.
The section of coast road between Perelle and L'Eree will be closed between the Rue de la Haute Banque and Les Sablon while the work is done.
Fibre-reinforced concrete will be added to the sea wall to try to increase the defences' life expectancy.
Environment Minister Peter Sirett said the work should be completed before the summer holidays.
He said his department was working to ensure the closure caused as little inconvenience as possible.
