Guernsey driving licence reminder letters to be stopped
- Published
Reminder letters will no longer be sent out to people in Guernsey who need to renew their driving licence.
The Environment department has announced it will instead text or e-mail drivers shortly before their licences are about to expire.
Drivers' mobile telephone numbers and e-mail addresses are currently being collated for this purpose.
The department has warned that it is an offence to drive without a licence and that there is no period of grace.
