A missing black labrador which sparked a cliff rescue at Les Tielles on Guernsey's south coast was found waiting faithfully by her owner's car.

The alarm was raised just after 1000 BST after reports the labrador, called Trinity, had gone over the cliff while jogging with her owner.

The Ambulance and Rescue's cliff rescue team and inshore lifeboat were involved in the two-and-a-half hour search.

Trinity was eventually found lying further up the cliff path by the car.
