St Peter Port road re-opens after emergency tree work

Work to secure the tree on Colborne Road began on Wednesday morning
A road in St Peter Port has re-opened after emergency work to remove a tree that was in danger of collapsing.
The bottom section of Colborne Road, between the junctions with Ruette Braye and Les Vardes, was closed at 07:00 BST.
Guernsey Police said that tree surgeons would be carrying out the work to remove the tree, believed to be a 50-year old Holm Oak.
Residents were able to access the road from the top end only.
Colborne Road re-opened at 16:30 BST.
