Guernsey milk prices to rise after review

  • Published

The price of a litre of Guernsey milk will rise by 4p, the Commerce and Employment Department has announced.

It said the increase to £1.05 reflected cost increases across the industry and recommendations made by the Milk Price Review Panel.

A half litre carton will rise by 2p to 59p, but the cost of organic milk, which is only available in half litres will be unchanged at 78p.

The price rises are due to come in on 2 October.
