North Beach parking plans revised in Guernsey

  • Published

Plans for the loss of parking spaces at North Beach have been revised by Guernsey's Public Services Department.

The department originally planned to reduce parking on the pier by 200 spaces, to allow work on St Peter Port harbour to take place.

The latest plans involve the creation of 160 replacement spaces on the East Arm of North Beach, which would be available during the daytime.

This would allow the area to be used for freight operations at night.

The plans also propose creating a further 40 parking spaces on the Castle Emplacement, in space currently used for boat lay-ups.
