Bailiwick of Guernsey stamps have been released to mark the 30th birthday of Prince William and 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens.

The six stamps remembering the acclaimed author depict some of George Cruikshank's original illustrations for Oliver Twist.

Dawn Gallienne, head of philatelic at Guernsey Post, said it was an honour to be allowed to use the images.

The set featuring the Duke of Cambridge focuses on his interests.

The Charles Dickens images appear on Alderney stamps and include well-known characters such as the Artful Dodger, Fagin and Charley Bates.
