Guernsey Airport reopens following two day closure

  • Published

Guernsey Airport has reopened after being closed for two days to allow work to take place on and around the runway.

The closure coincided with celebrations to mark the 67th anniversary of the island's Liberation Day on Wednesday.

The work centred on strengthening the edges of the runway ahead of its being resurfaced.

Resurfacing is expected to take place in July as part of the £80m, two-year project which is aimed at improving the island's airfield.
