A French yacht was rescued by Alderney's lifeboat after it hit a rock one mile off the island's east coast.
The two-man crew of the 9m yacht Hanois was unable to start the engine or sail off the rock against the tide.
The lifeboat Roy Barker I launched at 18:25 BST and was on scene within 10 minutes.
