Guernsey's Lieutenant Governor said he was honoured to represent the Bailiwick at the service of thanksgiving for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
Air Marshal Peter Walker was among those from around the Commonwealth invited to St Paul's Cathedral in London for the service on Tuesday.
He said: "It was a lovely occasion, a great privilege to be there.
"A wonderful humbling opportunity on behalf of the Bailiwick to show our respect for the Queen and her service."
Air Marshal Walker said: "It had everything, pealing bells, procession, pageant, fanfare, wonderful music and the whole occasion it's just marvellous to be there.
"Her Majesty represents self sacrifice, duty before self, resolution, a self of continuity and permanence and it's right after 60 years we should celebrate all of that."
