Charity donations allowed from Guernsey cash points

  • Published

More cash machines in Guernsey can now be used to make charitable donations.

Donations to eight different charities can be made by using Royal Bank of Scotland International and Natwest cash points in the island.

Those available include Guernsey's Les Bourgs Hospice and the national charities Barnardo's, Cancer Research UK and BBC Children in Need.

The service is available to anyone with a debit card, not just customers of those banks.

Donations, of between £1 and £150 will debited from the account and credited to their chosen charity the next working day.

HSBC has offered people using its cash machines the same service since 2005.
