Guernsey power failure affects 25% of island supplies
- Published
Thousands of people in Guernsey were left without electricity after a power cut knocked out 25% of the island's supplies.
Guernsey Electricity said people living in St Sampson, Vale, Castel, St Andrews, and some of St Peter Port had no power for about 30 minutes.
It said the incident, just after 09:00 BST, was caused by a "minor problem" at Vale power station.
The problem has been resolved and power restored.
A statement said: "Guernsey Electricity would like to apologise for any disruption to its customers."
