Guernsey tax consultation 'nearly ready', says deputy

  • Published

A consultation document on taxation in the Bailiwick of Guernsey will be completed in a matter of days.

Deputy Jan Kuttelwascher, the Deputy Treasury and Resources Minister, said it would help ensure taxation was fair.

He said the consultation would ask for opinions on social security payments, income tax, and other charges.

He added that it would ask members of the public what they felt they could "bear comfortably" in terms of tax increases and payments.

Deputy Kuttelwascher said the document would be finalised by the end of February.
