A new skate park in St Peter Port has been officially opened by Guernsey's Lieutenant Governor, Air Marshal Peter Walker.

Work on the facility at Beau Sejour began in December following 11 years of fundraising.

The skate park will provide a permanent place for skateboarders and BMX riders to practise their skills.

The park's design was decided after discussions with skaters and funded through sponsorship and fund-raising.
