Guernsey airline Aurigny 'best short-haul' carrier

Guernsey's States-owned airline has been judged as the best short haul carrier by a major consumer magazine.

Which?, external said a poll of 12,000 passengers put Aurigny top of 22 airlines, including British Airways, Easyjet, and Ryanair.

Aurigny's customer satisfaction rating was 87%. It was also praised for its boarding process, leg room, seat comfort, punctuality and cleanliness.

Commercial director Malcolm Coupar said it was "an achievement to be proud of".

He paid tribute to the airline's staff, shareholders and customers and said Aurigny tried to make the experience of flying "as stress-free and enjoyable as possible".
