States deputies have called for the entire Health and Social Services Department (HSSD) board to resign.

Deputy Mark Hadley launched the petition after health minister Mark Dorey admitted misinforming the States about the bowel cancer-screening budget.

Deputy Dorey had previously stated that he would not resign over the issues.

The board have five days to voluntarily resign before the petition is sent to the chief minister.

Deputy Hadley, alongside fellow deputies Roger Perrot, Barry Paint, John Gollop, Lester Queripel, David De Lisle and former HSSD minister Hunter Adam, have signed the petition.
