A tourist attraction which went into administration last year in Guernsey has been sold.

Oatlands Village in St Sampsons is a six-acre site with shops, a miniature golf course, outside activity area, fields and car parking.

It has been bought by investment company Ravenscroft in a joint venture with Bailiwick Investments Limited.

It was being offered for sale for £1.95m, having initially been placed on the market last year for £3m.

The sale price of the attraction, which opened in 1983, has not been revealed

Simon Melling, from Ravenscroft, said in a statement: "We want to breathe new life into Oatlands and create a premier attraction which is both sustainable and viable."

Chris Coles, owner of Les Piques Cottages and Bailiwick Investments, said he hoped Oatlands could again become "a favourite destination for locals and visitors" throughout the year.

The retail tenants who have continued to operate since the village went into administration have been informed about the sale.
