Guernsey's electoral roll has opened ahead of the 2016 General Election.

Residents have until 24 February 2016 to register to vote on who will govern the island.

The previous roll was created ahead of the island's 2012 General Election and had 29,745 names out of an estimated 45,000 eligible to vote.

Next year's election, which will be held on 27 April, will see deputies elected for a four-year term.
