Bad weather means French warship's Guernsey visit cancelled

A visit of a French warship to Guernsey has been cancelled due to the predicted bad weather.
FS Sagittaire, a 52m (170ft) minesweeper, was due to arrive later and stay in St Peter Port Harbour until Monday.
The ship last passed through Guernsey waters in September 2023.
A statement by Guernsey Ports said the 49 crew were "disappointed" to cancel and hoped to reschedule the visit for later in the year.
Based in Brest, FS Sagittaire was commissioned in 1996.
The purpose for her visit to St Peter Port was crew rest time and a technical break before taking part in various exercises and training.
