Guernsey animal charity nursing record number of Jersey seals

A Guernsey-based animal charity has said it is looking after a record number of seals from Jersey.
The GSPCA said it was now caring for four seals rescued from Jersey and two from Guernsey.
A pup named Didier is the latest to be cared for by the charity after it was found malnourished in Jersey before being moved to Guernsey by freight ship.
Steve Byrne, from the GSPCA, said the charity was "extremely busy".
"Both last week and this weekend again we've had an extra two Jersey seal pups which means we're extremely busy," he said.
"That's a record now at one time from Jersey."
The organisation will nurse the Jersey seals back to good health before they are taken back there.
Mr Byrne appealed for donations of fresh fish like herring and mackerel, with the pups each eating up to 30 a day.
He said they strive "to give the seal pups the best diet and chance to build their health".
