Review of Guernsey paediatric services will not be made public

A deputy said he was disappointed a review of Guernsey's paediatric services would not be published.
Health and Social Care said the review would be carried later this year by the Royal College of Paediatric and Child Health (RCPCH).
Answering questions from Deputy Gavin St Pier, it added: "The report will not be published, as is standard practice with reviews of this nature."
Mr St Pier said he was concerned by "the lack of transparency".
It follows concerns being raised by a number of families about the island's safeguarding service, external.
HSC said the review would provide recommendations, although the terms of reference for the report had not yet been set.
It said the commissioning of RCPCH would ensure the review remained independent.
However, Mr St Pier said: "Refusing, once again, to publish either the report or its recommendations is unjustified and does not build public confidence.
"Taxpayers are going to fund a report for which they can't see the terms of reference, can't input and can't see the report or recommendations."
He added the review would be an opportunity to "ensure the patient's voice is heard" and "improve governance".
"I fear that standard practice means this service review will end up just being one group of clinicians chatting to another, without robust challenge and will serve little purpose, other than to be used to justify a case for additional resources," he said.
