Actress Wendy Makkena has made a surprise visit to La Mare de Carteret School in Guernsey.
Ms Makkena is best known for her role as Sister Mary Robert in the original Sister Act films.
The La Mare students are currently preparing for their upcoming production of Sister Act.
The play will mark the final show before the school shuts permanently in 2025.
The appearance of the actress at the rehearsal generated excitement among students and staff at La Mare.
Head of performing arts, Susan Pogson, said: "The students couldn't actually respond when they realised they were looking at the real Mary Roberts.
"It was wonderful to watch."
Ms Makkena has been working with aspiring actors of all ages at The Cheshire Academy in Guernsey.
She said: "I have been lucky enough to find people who will let me teach which I love to do.
"There's so much insecurity now, especially with social media and the internet and musical theatre helps you be comfortable in your body," she said.
It was recently announced a Sister Act 3 film is in the works, 30 years after the first two movies.
Although a release date has not yet been revealed, Ms Makkena says she would be returning to the screens along with the original iconic cast.
She plans to return to Guernsey in June, where she hopes to participate more in the performing arts community.
