Noble's Hospital stroke unit re-opens

The stroke unit at Noble's Hospital has been re-opened, the Manx Department of Health has confirmed.

The unit was closed on 23 December because of staff illness, and patients transferred to other wards in the hospital.

It was reopened on Wednesday and all patients returned to the ward.

Health minister David Anderson said: "I would like to reassure the public that patients have not suffered as a consequence of the brief closure."

He added: "I am grateful for the staff's efforts in making sure we have been able to reopen so quickly."
