Traffic changes in Peel as part of regeneration plans
- Published
Major traffic changes in the west of the Isle of Man are under way as the first phase of Peel regeneration.
The plans aim to improve both traffic flow and the provision of parking.
Christian Street will be made one way from Atholl Place to Church Street, as will Derby Road, between Mona Street and Atholl Place.
A spokesman from the Department of Highways said the plans had been drawn up after a series of public consultations over the past two years.
The changes will also mean parking on Church Street will be removed between Monday and Friday from 0830 to 1730 GMT.
Work will begin in April and the next phase of regeneration will take place later in 2011.
