Further changes to Isle of Man bus timetables

Changes have been made to the Isle of Man's bus timetable after complaints about revisions made in September.

North Douglas MHKs John Houghton and Bill Henderson had claimed pensioners, disabled users and commuters were "hit hard" by the altered timetable.

The government monitored usage and feedback for three months. The changes will come into force on 1 May.

The new A5 timetables are available at bus depots, Douglas Sea Terminal and online at iombusandrail.info, external.

David Cretney, Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure, said: "These further changes, including the revised format of the timetable, have been made as I promised at the time in direct response to the feedback we have received since the implementation of the new timetable last year.

"We will continue to respond with further changes on an ongoing basis to ensure that bus services continue to meet the needs of both residents of and visitors to the island."
