Duke of Gloucester to visit Isle of Man

The Duke of Gloucester is first cousin to The Queen
The Duke of Gloucester is due to visit the Isle of Man for a series of charity engagements.
He will meet with representatives from a host of local organisations including Manx National Heritage and the Council of Cancer Charities.
A government spokesman said other activities such as a steam train ride, a visit to the Laxey Wheel and a tour of Castle Rushen were also arranged.
The Duke of Gloucester is first cousin to The Queen.
Third visit
He is associated with more than 150 charities and organisations.
Many of The duke's public duties relate to architecture and conservation and he became a corporate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 1972.
He is president of several architectural preservation societies and has produced three books of architectural photographs.
The duke's visit to the Isle of Man is on 7 July and will be his third to the island.
He visited in 1979 for the Tynwald millennium celebrations and again in 1999.
