The Isle of Man's Lieutenant Governor is set to give his first public lecture since he was sworn in last April.

Adam Wood will address the Isle of Man United Nations Association (UNA) about his work as High Commissioner of Kenya.

Before his Isle of Man appointment, Mr Wood also worked as Africa Director in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office

The talk, which is called The Globe Trotter and the Junior Officer, will be held at the Manx Museum on 24 October. The proceeds will go to charity.

UNA was founded to raise awareness of the United Nations and its work around the world.
