Isle of Man-based Manx2.com will temporarily suspend two of its services to England from 8 January.

The company will no longer fly between the Isle of Man and Leeds Bradford or the Isle of Man and Oxford for the first quarter of 2013.

A Manx2.com spokesman said: "It follows ongoing disappointing travel figures".

Recent figures show a 7.5 % decline in passengers travelling to and from Ronaldsway across all routes compared to the same month in 2011.

Managing director Dave Buck said: "Oxford and Leeds Bradford services will operate normally until 7 January to ensure Christmas and New Year holiday plans are unaffected.

"We will reassess these routes in the New Year when supply and demand on Isle of Man routes becomes clearer. We will definitely be running a service on both routes through the 2013 TT period for our regular TT visitors.

Affected passengers will be re-booked onto alternative flights.

Services to Blackpool, Belfast, Gloucester, Jersey and Newcastle are unaffected.
