A body has been "dredged up" by a fishing boat several miles from north coast of the Isle of Man, police said.
The discovery was made by fishermen on Friday evening when the lifeboat was called out to help recover the body.
A police spokesman said little was known about the circumstances of death, but it is not thought the deceased is from the Isle of Man.
He added: "We are working closely with colleagues from neighbouring Police forces to identify the person."
